My family and I spent a weekend at the Magalies River Lodge self-catering tented bush camp. We went in winter and as anticipated it was freezing. These novel tents are however well equipped with an oil heater and electric blankets on the double beds to take the edge off the cold. The beds were comfortable and it was definitely a luxurious version of camping. Having a bathroom attached to the tent was a bonus.

The camp is across the road from the main hotel. Activities for the kids were limited to a pool, trampoline and a short walk alongside the river. It was the middle of winter so there weren’t many guests and the bar wasn’t open in the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating and there was no problem with the check-in.

We are so happy with this find. Fantastic value for money. The rooms were beautiful. they were furnished with antique furniture. Bedding was great and the fireplace this last weekend was the best. We were spoilt for breakfast and the walk by the river (that is literally on your doorstep) was great. The staff went above and beyond anything we expected. We were very very impressed and whenever I go to the breweries in the future I will be staying there.

My boyfriend and I spent two unforgettable nights at the lodge. We were treated to an amazing room with exceptional services. The staff were so accommodating and warm and went out their way for us which made the stay so special. We will definitely visit there again soon.

We had a lovely time and we were well taken care of. From the direction when we were lost, to the security who welcomed us at night with a big smile and full of energy.
The Hospitality we got from the workers as was amazing, they were so willing to assist with anything we asked for, the Breakfast was great and was served with a smile.

I am now able to describe the Lodge to the Clients very well because I know it personally.
I kindly request you to put Clear and Bigger Boards though on the road as we were seeing other Lodges.
