What Customers Say

  • My boyfriend and I spent two unforgettable nights at the lodge. We were treated to an amazing room with exceptional services. The staff were so accommodating and warm and went out their way for us which made the stay so special. We will definitely visit there again soon.

  • My family and I spent a weekend at the Magalies River Lodge self-catering tented bush camp. We went in winter and as anticipated it was freezing. These novel tents are however well equipped with an oil heater and electric blankets on the double beds to take the edge off the cold. The beds were comfortable and it was definitely a luxurious version of camping. Having a bathroom attached to the tent was a bonus.

The camp is across the road from the main hotel. Activities for the kids were limited to a pool, trampoline and a short walk alongside the river. It was the middle of winter so there weren't many guests and the bar wasn't open in the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating and there was no problem with the check-in.

  • We are so happy with this find. Fantastic value for money. The rooms were beautiful. they were furnished with antique furniture. Bedding was great and the fireplace this last weekend was the best. We were spoilt for breakfast and the walk by the river (that is literally on your doorstep) was great. Paul the manager went above and beyond anything we expected. We were very very impressed and whenever I go to the breweries in the future I will be staying there.

  • I would like to take this opportunity and thank you for Hosting us on the weekend of the 09th Jan 2015.
We had a lovely time and we were well taken care of. From the direction when we were lost, to the security who welcomed us at night with a big smile and full of energy.
The Hospitality we got from the workers as was amazing, they were so willing to assist with anything we asked for, the Breakfast was great and was served with a smile.

I am now able to describe the Lodge to the Clients very well because I know it personally.
I kindly request you to put Clear and Bigger Boards though on the road as we were seeing other Lodges.
But all in all everything was nice and thank you once again:Kind Regards

  • We just want to express our gratitude on the service that we received.
We were at the Lodge at the weekend of the 19th -21st June 2015. Wow what an experience.
The warm welcome we received from Paul on arrival. We (Big five) thought it was just for that moment but the service went beyond our expectations. We were there as friends, five of us (Ladies).

What really knocked us below the belly was what Paul promised on the phone when we were doing enquiries, he delivered everything to teeth. We thought maybe on something's he was just making it up to make it interesting, but to our surprise he delivered as promised. We thought it was too good to be truth but iyo the guy outdone himself. We still in awe.

The food was so scrumptious, well prepared and freshly so. The Lettuce was so crispy and nice and that type you can only find at Woolies food. Food was prepared with detail, wow. We enjoyed everything.

The room was so warm and we forgot about our homes because Paul made the place to be so homey and relaxed. Even when it was load shedding, we didn't feel it, we just enjoyed the place and the fireplace made it ayoba.
We travel often and the service that Paul gave us was excellent, actually excellent can't even describe it. It is that kind of a service that will make us come back soon with our families.

We salute Paul. How he does his job has really challenged us in our own careers. He is so diligent and compassionate in what he does.

May the good Lord bless him and keep up the good work.
    Kind regards
